Hello Hello!

I’m a little excited to write this post because I feel my photography journey has been long and bumpy!  I’ve seen many talented photographers blow right past me as I felt stuck and unable to learn and grow.  So I’ve been hesitant to enter a contest stricken with fear I’d learn I really do take terrible images!  But, after watching this contest for a few years, I picked a handful of my favorite images and threw them into this contest.  So I told my family and we all prayed and set a goat that at least one image would make it half way!  {Round 6 of 12.} Once the contest started and I started seeing all the amazing images entered, I simply knew I didn’t stand a chance.  Y’all, I was blown away that over half the images I submitted made it to or past that 6th round!

I’m proud and honored to say that out of  SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND images from way more talented photographers that my images were able to compete and I ended up with one as a finalist. {Top 4%}  Also, I had several in the top 10, 20 and 30%.  I’m completely blown away.  I’m amazed but mostly grateful for the many many people that let me take their pictures and let me grow with them in my talent year after year!

I’ve said before and I’ll keep saying, I have the most photogenic clients in the world and I’m so grateful you give me the opportunity to photograph you and your beautiful kids.
